Class Description:
One of the forefathers of Hatha Yoga, Prabhudeva, described the human body
as being nothing but layers of frozen shadows. Hatha Yoga is the art and
science of dissolving these frozen shadows in order to experience the light
within.

Shadow Yoga, founded by Zhander Remete, is a Hatha Yoga system that utilizes
rhythmic breathing, *bandhas *(energetic locks) and the Ayurvedic Marma
system to free the peripheral body of its energetic obstructions to ignite
our inner fire. Shadow yoga consists of circular and spiraling movements,
warrior stances, and sun salutation forms to bring about flexibility,
strength, and inner firmness while preparing one for the more advanced
asanas or seats.
