The Sacred Thread of Yoga: October 11 to 17, 2010

Thank you for your interest in the "Sacred Thread of Yoga", a Festival to be held in Fort Mason, San Francisco, California, October 11 to 17, 2010.
We are currently working with our Presenters to collate all information. Early registrants will not only receive the above early booking discounts, but will be given priority in selecting classes. Early registrants will be able to select their classes as soon as the Festival Catalog is printed in October (2009). Participants who do not book early enough to get the discount will not be able to select any classes until April 2010. Class sizes are being kept small to enhance the atmosphere in our Festival tents and the surrounding sacred village community being built in Fort Mason. Many of our sessions will therefore reach capacity quickly, so do take full advantage of this offer.
The Sacred Thread of Yoga is a festival of gratitude. It salutes those Ancient Teachers who transmitted the sacred thread of knowledge from teacher to student down through the generations, so it could reach us all today. The Sacred Thread of Yoga Festival will draw together students and master teachers to honor and to celebrate this tradition of yoga—the donating of the blessings and inspiration of Spirit.
The first part of the Festival, Monday October 11 to Friday October 15 2010, will be a 5-Day Iyengar Yoga Intensive. The Faculty will be a collection of Advanced Certificate Holders, Teacher Trainers, Moderators and Assessors drawn from all around the world. Amongst the most accomplished and experienced yoga teachers active today, they have each been running teachers' training programs and assessing and moderating for over two decades.
The second part of the Festival runs from Friday October 15 to Sunday October 17 and will be an Open Weekend featuring some of the best known names in yoga from many differenct styles and traditions, and from all around the world.
